posted by catherine / August 02, 2006 / helena bonham carter was cast to play bellatrix lestrange in the next harry potter, which is a better piece of casting that i'm satisfied with much more than the other two i've heard recently - heath ledger as the joker in batman (seriously, i'm afraid that's going to be terrible) and nicole kidman as mrs. coulter in his dark materials. which were unsatisfying to me. and all hollywood casting agents should answer to catherine.
this was your dorky blog post of the night. previous harry potter zunta threads here and here.

Love her! She was great in Fight Club, that messy hair was terrific.
<sheepishly>I actually pictured Nicole Kidman as Mrs. Coulter when I read those books.</sheepishly>
really? she just seems too cold and scary skinny to be good in the role...well, actually, that sounds about right. but i just never find her at all attractive, and i imagined mrs. coulter as like devastatingly beautiful as well as totally awesome-evil. i remember catherine zeta jones was suggested at one point and i thought that would have been good.
