i just saw an ad for a movie starring keanu reeves and sandra bullock, who play star-crossed lovers, one of whom appears to be...a time traveler.

clearly, the movie industry has found the solution to sagging ticket sales and apathetic audiences.

Maybe he can travel his ass back in time and stop her from making SPEED 2: WAVES OF THREATDOWN or whatever that piece of shit was called.

dammit, I really liked readingThe Time Traveler's Wife. I hope their movie is not a remake of that book.

When I saw that trailer, I had a visceral "How does this crap get made?! Is Hollywood completely out of ideas?! Bah!!!" reaction...until I saw it end with "Written by David Auburn". He's the guy who wrote the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Proof. (Something, surprisingly, they didn't pimp in the trailer.)

That makes me wonder if there is a chance this movie may not actually suck despite its ludicrous premise. I don't know how you can overcome a premise like "separated by two years" but it at least wasn't written by a hack.
