i feel weird for saying this, but...

is anybody else kind of TOTALLY LOVING the new burger king ads?

the paparazzi thing is pretty clever, but I don't like the king campaign in general. I feel like it's laser-targeted at 8-months-younger-me. I get uncomfortable around that kind of demographic precision.

Also, I liked their Office ripoff series better, which is what immediately preceded this campaign, I think.

i just like that it's brooke burke, cause they're being consistent - she was in that previous weirdo commercial, along with darius rucker.

But why, Tommy, why? It's just burgers! And the internet!

Because I am powerless to resist! Prevention is the only cure.

I absolutely LOVE the new BK ads. The 'King' looks just like one of my best friends and everytime I see it, no matter what he's doing, I just die laughing. It never gets old.

I think they should leave them alone when they're at the beach or shopping or whatever... The media should respect their privacy.

The new BK ads are stupid and the king guy looks psychotic. Seriously, they put way too much "smile" on the mask. Big smiles look good on Ronald McDonald, but not on the King. Take Wendy from Wendy's for example... she's got a nice, gentle grin. The King just looks freaky, especially when he stares at you. Even the oven mitt from Arby's has an appealing grin. Jack in the Box has a scientifically determined grin so as not to frighten small children. And if you've ever been to an Eat'n Park, the smiles on their logos are proportional to the "yinzer" quotient.

The big creepy smile is the whole point! It's supposed to be creepy. That way it sticks out in your mind. Case in point you are discussing the ad campaign on the internet.
