FUCCKKK
not having received any redskins games on my crappy broadcast tv since i moved to chicago (except their very first one of the season when they played the bears), i neglected to even think about the possibility that i might get the tampa playoff game. so even though i knew when the game started today, i didn't think twice about making plans to go see "match point" this evening instead. of course, as soon as i get out of the shower, i flip on the tv, and what do i see except the redskins kicking ass and taking names (at least in this quarter; god, please let that continue, i will, like, go to church and help old people cross streets and save kitties if you let them keep this up). so i'm about to head out to the movie, but i'm wearing my red and gold pumas. and chanting "hail to the redskins" in my head for the next few hours.

Hey Catherine,
Having lived in DC for 3 years (June 2001-June 2004) I was happy to see that Washington has advanced in the playoffs. Oh, I forgot to mention that I was born/raised and currently living in Seattle. Any wagers that you and your clan would like to make on next Saturdays game?? I'm thinking something like my REAL Salmon against Bens Chilli or some Red, White, and Blue Ribs?
Don
Really too bad that Tampa lost today, but I must say, I can't really find it in my heart to get too upset about it after that win on Wednesday.
Red, White and Blue ribs? Can't say I know em. But you're better off without Ben's Chili. It's a lovely accompaniment to a half-smoke, but it's objectively awful chili (although I *do* like that you can buy it by the gallon).
Besides, I'm afraid taking the skins against the seahawks is a sucker's bet. Although yeah, go skins, etc.
I'm thinking perhaps he means Red, Hot, and Blue?
Yep ... Red, Hot, and Blue. I saw my error after I posted the comment. But then I was thinking of those great subs at the Italian Shop. It will be a good game ... seceretly hoping that the Skin's win
