thinking

has anyone else noticed that rachael ray of the food network seems to have...created her own personalized sign language? i always thought she used her hands excessively when she spoke, but things have gotten totally out of control.

She also snorts when she laughs and her use of "yum-o" (not a word) is out of control. And yet? She's like a car wreck - I just can't turn away!

gah. i don't watch TV or have cable so i had to google (image) this person, and all i got were shots of some women in lingerie holding pies. weirdly suggestive, but it begs the question, 'is the food network a pornographic enterprise?' cause i'm totally ready to get cable if so.

I know sign language, and she is saying "I love you ghost. I want to make you a 30 minute meal... in your pants."

I totally agree about the EVOO. What's her problem with saying "extra virgin olive oil"? Most of the time all she needs is oil. But no, she has to break out the extra virgin... EVOO. Damn, she's got me saying it now.
I'm more of an Alton Brown fan. And if you watch the Fine Living channel, Kevin Brausch (??? - the Thirsty Traveler) is the man! His liver must be some kind of medical marvel.

EVOO! I don't watch Ray, but I've seen it showing up on menus in town (Radius Pizza is the place that comes to mind). Just write it out so idiots like me don't have to ask what it is.

You could power a small town if you could harness her enthusiasm. I can't watch her, she makes me nuts.

yeah, but she's like a ticking time bomb - if you watch long enough, she's going to explode!

Rachael Ray's $40 a Day in D.C. provides some comic relief. I think Rae Ray's internal energies could power more than a small town, I'm thinking more along the lines of a Delaware- or Rhode Island-sized jurisdiction.
