worth doing right

I've taken another pass at the Gmail colorizer greasemonkey script — I'm pretty pleased with it now. Have a look, if you'd like.

Nice! Now can you tell me where I put this script so that I can actually use it?

sure! you'll need to be using firefox, for one thing. Then you'll need to install the greasemonkey extension (instructions there). Then restart your browser, browse to the script and go to "Tools | Install This User Script". Voila! That should be it.

thanks! I stayed up late installing new scripts!

p.s. hmm, do you think that the new alert that shows up in gmail saying "BUG! Can find button. Alert author" has something to do with one of the new scripts I installed?

'fraid so. Every time Google makes a change to Gmail it has the potential to break these scripts. Check userscripts.org -- the script's author may be working on (or have already created) an updated version.
