die, lady, die

so, a couple of friends and i are taking bets on who the chickadee who is going to die tonight on lost is. the winner gets the cheapest bottle of wine that we can buy, so there's a lot at stake. here are our choices:

friend 1: determined that it is kate.
friend 2: claire. who needs a baby mama anyway?
catherine: rose. how HEART WRENCHING would it be to have the two plane groups finally reunited, only to have bernard find his wife dead? when they were SO CLOSE?

your thoughts?

it's Shannon. The episode has a lot of Shannon flashbacks in it

the actress who buys shannon just bought a house in hawaii. the reason i'm saying now that it's claire is imdb has her as doing a lot more movies in the next two years than anybody else on cast.

ack! ack! i put a spoiler tag on that. why didn't it work?

SHANNON IS GOING TO SO BITE IT. or at least I want Shannon to so bite it.

Right, this doesn't have anything to do with lost, but I would just like to say...if we don't start reading these stupid radio scripts soon, I am going to stab myself in the eye.

Gotta be Rose. I'm sticking with your original guess, internet sleuthing be damned!

You know what would be awesome? A Lost radio drama.

oh my god it's the baby!!!! the blanket. . .

There has not been enough Kate so far this episode, though the Shannon screen time is appreciated. Also, no Jack in sight, which is nice. Prediction 3/4ths of the way through: one of the group from the other end of the plane.

man I wish it was the baby. Then this show would be less predictable.

That was an awkward way to make a first impression.

awww that was so sad...though as soon as sayid told her he loved her i knew she was going to bite it. i even called AL being the one to do it 3/4 of the way into the show. she's fooking crazy.

also, i must give props to chris for knowing, even if shannon did just buy a house in HI. ah well. no cheap wine for me or any of my friends.

ana lucia, my friend sayid has some bamboo shoots with your name on them

Posted by: Laura on November 9, 2005 10:47 PM

i knew as soon as sayid and shannon consummated their relationship in the beginning of the show.

however, wouldn't it be evil if the producers actually didn't kill her off? we only saw her get shot...

I thought maybe the relationship consummation was a fakeout. Particularly since they gave Shannon an actual character arc immediately before they killed her off. With Boone also gone, you've now wasted two characters that you spent time building. I don't get it. They must have other things in mind.

i know. the finally made shannon sympathetic and explained some of the reasons behind her behavior, and then, boom, she's dead as soon as we care for/feel sorry for her. thanks a lot, jj. on the other hand, i now don't want ana lucia to just die, but to die in a particularly horrible manner.

A little backstory for Shannon didn't salvage her for me. Bye bye, Shannon! I'm kind of waiting for a big fakeout from the producers though, although it would be a bit much to bring her and Charlie back from the dead. So looking forward to next week's episode now though.
