so, cheetahs are, for all intents and purposes, done. next up: drinks tonight at the hay-adams at 16th and H streets. please help me: what drink should i order? frankly, i know nothing about nice drinks. at bars, i almost always go with a gin and tonic because, well, i like it, and it's super easy and cheap. but i want a nice, classic drink tonight. tips?

i can tell you i'll be having a Manhattan. but that has bourbon in it. perhaps you should choose a gin-based cocktail, like a gin martini. But since we're celebrating, perhaps something like this would be more appropriate.
OOH. that looks good. though i might feel a bit silly asking for it.
Get a sidecar -- far and away the best of the classic cocktails.
