the kids aren't alright

We had high hopes for TLC's Feral Children show, but it ended up being less like this:

batboy lives!

and more like this:

Still, it was all relevant and cognitive scientastic, so I guess I can't complain. But did you guys have to bring out the wire monkey mothers, too? With the maladjusted monkey geeks avoiding eye contact with the cool monkeys and shuffling toward whatever side of the experimental apparatus most resembled a high school prop closet? Cause that was just upsetting.

They didn't got into nearly enough detail on all those cases, though. I wanted all the dirt, and they just left me hanging. But the monkeys. That was depressing.

That was probably the first thing I said when the show started: "I can't wait for the backstory on Bat Boy."

Oh, I think the WWN has already covered that story pretty well. However, I didn't know that he recently joined the marines.

The real question posed by the show, I think, is what the fuck is wrong with Ukrainians? Are they really a million times more likely to abandon their children than other nationalities?
