skinny bird neck food network woman giada de laurentiis is given the treatment in the post today.
i have to admit, i'm coming around to giada, especially since we made her recipe for chocolate zabaglione. but her strained smile still freaks me out to no end.
the post includes recipes for her "torta di pasta," an orechiette dish and a vodka sauce.

I've always kinda thought Giada was creepy...she looks like she doesn't, well, EAT...which brings me back to the old proverb not to trust a chef who doesn't eat their own cooking.
I think the proverb is "never trust a thin chef or a wet boatman."
plus, she's super annoying.
Giada's show is by far the sexiest cooking show I have ever seen. And I'm not even talking about the host. The photography is sexy, the composition, the context of real-time cooking with things constantly sizzling and steaming - damn damn damn.
And Tom's comment totally gives him away as someone who doesn't actually watch the show, because half of the fun for a guy watching it is to see her put food in her mouth (to taste for flavor or done-ness) and then let out this little flutter-eyed moan of pleasure.
