god LORD, harvard students can be arrogant assholes. hillary duff starts taking classes at the university's extension school, and the crimson feels a need to write a bitter, snippy and not-even-close-to-clever editorial about it? leave the poor little celebrity alone. she's just trying to learn real good, y'all hear?

well, i mean, i don't feel that sorry for her. she is famous and rich and stuff afterall. but that editorial was just stupid and snotty.

Harvard kids always make fun of the extension school because it's not really Harvard.
It's basically night classes for adults, some of whom then go around talking about how they "go to Harvard" to everyone they know. That's why the real, full-time students, have some resentment.
It's odd that a celebrity like Duff, with her alleged acting and singing abilities, couldn't get herself into the freshman class. Maybe she's too busy with other projects, who knows.

Indisputably. Ind, as I never tire of pointing out, I correctly called the outcome of this teen idol arms race as soon as it became apparent it existed, despite Duff's early lead. If there were some sort of jailbait futures market, I'd be a rich man.

Harvard Extension has degree program taught by Harvard Faculty and award by the Faculity of Arts and Sciences which also oversees Harvard College. (One may take classes in any school in the school as well as MIT.) Graduates may serve as interiewers for applicants to Harvard College, and vote for the Board of Overseers of the College. They are regularly accepted for graduate study by Harvard's 10 graduate schools.
Yeah Harvard Extension School is under the faculty of arts and science of Harvard University, and the degrees it offers are real Harvard Degrees.
