Things aren't exactly busy at work, so I just fired up a game of Halo. I got beat, badly, by virtually everyone in the last round. But that's not the problem. One of the competitors was twelve. And, when it was all over, the winner (not the twelve year old, although he beat me too) said, "You suck, old guys! You suck!"
Hard to argue with that.

I hadn't played on-line in years, but after finishing up Half-Life 2, I fired up its deathmatch mode, and was relieved to find that I hadn't lost all of my twitch skills over the past few years. If you haven't tried it yet, it's definetly worth a go. There's nothing quite like taking out an opponent with a desk or radiator. I know I'd get hammered by all of the twelve-year olds at Halo 2 though, I'm crap when it comes to playing with controllers now.
Yeah, I can get back into the groove with the mouse and keyboard pretty quickly. I don't have the hardware horsepower to play HL2, but I'm tempted to buy one of these doohickeys and try to give the 12 year olds on XBox Live a run for their money.
Ooh, keyboard and mouse adapter? Anyone playing with that would be head and shoulders above the players using the normal controllers.
