yay! travis morrison, formerly of the dismemberment plan, aka Local Musician Catherine Is Most Likely To Stalk, is releasing his debut solo album september 28, on barsurk records. it's entitled "travistan", which is either the awesomest or worst album title ever, depending on how much you want to have mr. morrison's babies. he'll start touring the d.c. area with a full band come september, but there's one more solo stint at the galaxy hut in arlington, sunday, august 22. i suggest we try to make it out this time. tommy and i meant to go to his last solo show on july 4, but the thought of sitting amongst throngs of hipsters packed into the 30-person venue made us shudder, so we went to see spiderman 2 in a big air-conditioned theater instead. hopefully we'll have stronger constitutions this time around.
