a very nice suprise today: i got a raise! i haven't been here a year yet (not till august), but my boss said that i had been doing such a good job (he obviously neither reads this nor tracks my internet usage) that they wanted to give me a raise that was 1) early and 2) above the standard annual raise at our company. which is really not much, but still. i will take this as a sign that my department really does realize how fubar'd they'd be if i left. yes, humor my ego, i'm feeling good. drinks on me; now i can afford a social life!

anyway, i know what this means: h&m, here i come. i may not be able to afford high-quality european fashion yet, but now the knockoffs are finally within my reach. moo ha ha ha.

Congratulations! I guess those will be celebration and not desperation drinks tonight.

definitely! speaking of booze, teresa, are you coming to beer day? you best be.

I am planning on attending Beer Day; although I have been warned many times about the sanctity of the day and how I might not be Beer Day material. What time do the Beer Day festivities begin?

an excellent question. Of course, Beer Day officially begins at the stroke of midnight. For coming-over-here-and-getting-drunk purposes, anytime after 11am is probably a pretty good bet.

I have more questions: Is Beer Day Eve officially acknowledged? How do they celebrate Beer Day in other questions? How should we explain Beer Day to our children?

i do know that the beer fairy sometimes makes an appearance.

i think it bears repeating: i'm an H&M man, wild as the taliban.

kriston can explain.
