we've got a pioneer!
all bow down to mrs. gray, otherwise known as charles' mom, who yesterday donated $100 to my marine corps marathon fundraiser for the lombardi center.
of course, this sort of generosity wasn't unexpected from the grays, who let me tag along with their family and tommy when they rented a big old villa in tuscany last year. they're rather awesome.
so this brings my total up to around $250! which is great, because i haven't even hit up my grandparents, my parents, my parents' friends or other innocent, unsuspecting parties yet (besides you all, of course).
training continues; ten miles will be run this saturday am. but in lieu of running today, i have opted to do some cross-training and take a kickboxing class. since i lack any sort of coordination (or muscles, really, despite running), i'm fearful that the entire experience might end up something like this rather hysterical account. but forza! forza catherine. yes, that rallying cry of forza didn't get the azzurri very far before they got kicked out of euro 2004 (the sweden-denmark match was TOTALLY FIXED), but whatever. forza!
update: ah, italians. this is more like it: "Disgruntled Italy fans hurled eggs at the Danish consulate in Milan in protest at their team's early exit from Euro 2004. "

Catherine, I think you are forgetting the time you went to Body Combat (kickboxing type class) with me. You did very well and even had fun (so you said). I think your new kickboxing class will be good for you and you'll even enjoy it. Have fun!
