found a milanese photoblog while searching for something about the modigliani exhibit in milan last year. she's got cool pictures. especially the last six, which are from the no. 24 tram, my second home when i lived in italy.

For some reason Modigliani is the hottest touring 20th c. show right now. If a gallery can schedule Modi they pretty much have free license to show whatever else they want for the entire season and be guaranteed a profit. He's one of the rare modernists to be given the Van Gogh stamp-of-approval treatment by the public.

He's fine, but I don't get the massive appeal. Have you seen that show?
no, a lot of my friends went to see the one in milan, i thought about it, but it cost like 12 euro to go see it, and eh. i guess maybe a lot of people really like him because he's accessible but doesn't seem too mainstream so you can claim an iota of art knowledge? also i like pretty colors.
He paints chicks pretty hot.
