wrapping things up
Looks like Movable Type breaks when there's no post for the current month; sorry about that. Hopefully this post will resolve the situation. Add upgrading MT to the list of tech projects I'm setting up for myself upon our return -- which is tomorrow, incidentally. Taking a cue from the US military, we're anticipating that upon entering the country we'll be met by a grateful citizenry bearing flowers, candy, and rides home. Preparing a contingency plan seems premature at this time*.
We've got a lot of pictures, and while they're mostly of flowers (you'll have to talk to Catherine about that), it's probably still a sufficient number to merit setting up a separate section on this site. And of course there are also various relations of ours whose delicate sensibilities might be offended by this site in its entirety. Setting up a churchgoing-great-aunt-safe subsection seems prudent. So keep an eye out for that if hearing us prattle on about what we've been eating is the type of thing that interests you.
We're in Milan again today. Catherine is off on a purse-shopping expedition, then is heading back to the school to be a Mystery Reader. The books and poems she'll be reading serve not only to pacify the children for a few precious minutes, but also to secretly teach them about Dada. Ask Catherine to perform "Llama" next time you see her. Then you'll understand.
* actually Catherine's Dad is picking us up
