blogger's block

i am having like, blog block these past two days. it's a combination of not being able to think of anything to write about, and not even caring to write about anything. i haven't been spurred to write in the past few days, even though there have been numerous things going on in the words of politics, foreign relations, and dumb pointless entertainment crap (the latter being my favorite and my strength).

not only am i having blog block, i haven't been reading many other blogs at all, and since my entire day at work is mostly made up of blog reading, this means i've been staring glassy-eyed at my computer screen, pen in one hand and a paper in the other so it kind of looks like i'm doing something. my eyes have started to fuzz up from the pixel invasion, and my skin is turning grey. it's lovely.

does anyone have a large hiking-type backpack i could borrow in late april? you know, so i can stomp around italy looking officially hip and backpackster-ish? i used to be completely derisive towards those enormous backpacks until i went on a two-week trip through england, france and scotland using a fucking roller carry-on. i had to roll it EVERYWHERE. and in situations where one could not roll their luggage, ie stairs, over curbs, onto trains, i had to carry it in my arms like a fat child, and it was super heavy. also, it once got stuck in an automatic gate on the tube in london. i was literally stuck for three minutes in the subway gate during rush hour, and i could hear what the posh british people all around me where thinking: dumb fucking american. oh, the humiliation. anyway, i named the rolling luggage piece herbert, basically so he would seem more like a person and it would be easier to cuss him out. follow that logic.

anyway...i'm high on diet coke. i would like to do lots of drinking this st. paddy's day weekend, but i have to run a 10k sunday morning, so instead i'll be drinking gallons of water and eating pounds of pasta. why do i run?

and reading this over, i can tell you: this is exactly why i haven't written in the past 48 hours.

I have a hefty backpack that survived its own European romp and is in condition to survive some more. You're welcome to it, if you need it.
