quizzes

i took the book and country quizzes over at bluepyramid.org and it turns out that i am, respectively, one hundred years of solitude (Lonely and struggling, you've been around for a very long time. Conflict has filled most of your life and torn apart nearly everyone you know. Yet there is something majestic and even epic about your presence in the world. You love life all the more for having seen its decimation. After all, it takes a village.) and iceland (Most people think you're a cold and forbidding person, but you're actually naturally warm and inviting. People just get scared off by what other people have led them to believe about you. You keep to yourself for the most part, and are pretty good at fending for yourself, especially if water's involved. More people should visit you and find out the truth.).

if it involves avoiding work, i'm doing it.

Jurassic Park and Mexico.
I'm a little worried about the last sentence in the Jurassic Park explanation as I've just moved from one island to another...

You're Jurassic Park!
by Michael Crichton
You combine all the elements of a mad scientist, a brash philosopher, a humble researcher, and a money-hungry attracter of tourists. With all these features, you could build something monumental or get chased around by your own demons. Probably both, in fact. A movie based on your life would make millions, and spawn at least two sequels that wouldn't be very good. Be very careful around islands.

hmm. Ulysses and Texas. I'd like to believe the Ulysses thing, but who am I kidding. The Texas thing I am even less sure about, although I would like to take this opportunity to encourage everyone not to mess with me.

Also, upon further inspection, Texas is not a country. So I'm not quite sure what's going on here.
