Leaked Pentagon report warns climate change may bring famine, war.
nice little excerpt: "Britain will have winters similar to those in current-day Siberia as European temperatures drop off radically by 2020." and "'catastrophic' shortages of potable water and energy will lead to widespread war by 2020."

I think the important thing about the pentagon report is that it's a scenario to generate thoughts about preparation for something of this scope. It is in no way a doomsday prediction the government has or is hiding.

sucky. man, it's just not as fun without the terrifying mother nature death predictions.
still... by devoting any resources to this, the pentagon does seem to be admitting that, having looked at the science, the possibility of catastrophic climate change exists. Which is quite a departure from the administration's official policy of "we need more researchLALALAICANTHEARYOU"
