wow, the unicorns are hott. yes, with two ts. i just returned from the fest full of rock at uva with tommy, which is a minor indie festival in its second year. there were lots of bands i had neve heard of; broken spindles, engine down, erm, some others...but we pretty much went for the unicorns. i already liked them due to tommy's influence, but now i love them! they put on a fantastic live show. and they are so cute and canadian and look like they're about 18. it seemed like there was a weird tension between the band and the crowd, though, until they played a rocking song where they bounced around on stage and dropped their instruments and jumped up to the rafters and dangled above the crowd and then surfed back to stage. pretty rock n roll. anyway, they're playing the black cat tomorrow, and i would go, except i have no one to go with, as everyone is invested in the stupid superbowl. oh well, i will have to get drunk and eat chicken wings instead. but if you don't have to get drunk and eat chicken wings, you should go see them.

mm. i just finished my franks spinach roll, and we are off.
