Well, I finally figured out how to flip the switch that makes this site look presentable, so here it is: Catherine and my very own blog. I find the whole self-centered enterprise incredibly interesting -- the combination of cgi programming and egocentrism is downright intoxicating.

I'm counting on Catherine to supply most/all of the interesting content here -- she is in a foreign country, after all -- a good one too, not one of the ones prefixed with "war torn". She doesn't realize it, but everything over there sounds mysterious and romantic. Here you're just scrubbing the toilet. Over there you're freighiing la toletta. See? Don't you feel sophisticated just reading that?

For the time being I am web-designing my life away in Mclean, VA -- right now I'm supposed to be making web sites for evil congressmen. Today I converted to HTML a press release entitled 'Clinton Crushes Farmers Dreams by Vetoing Death Tax Repeal'. Ironically, the fact that they're not kidding is the funniest part.

It's not the most stimulating work -- I usually spend each day performing repetitive functions, watching for poolgoers at the adjacent apartment building with the sort of intensity most often found near the words "Lenny" and "rabbits".
